Lo mas destacado y especial es que llevaremos un barco a Soller y haremos inmersiones en esa zona. La idea es que quedemos en el puerto de Soller a las 9.00 y saldremos de allí con dos botellas para hacer dos inmersiones. Trataremos de bucear en un punto de buceo donde hay una pared llena de gorgonias. Los que necesitéis botellas y equipo debéis avisarlo cuando hagáis la reserva.
El centro de buceo en Santa Ponsa permanecerá abierto y saldremos también como siempre.
Es importante realizar reserva dado lo limitado de las plazas.
Recordar que hay que estar media hora antes de la salida para preparar el equipo.

Strange for the Med but in the last weeks we have been seeing a Trumpet Fish in el Toro.

It is not a Mediterranean fish.

Moon Fish

This year we are seeing some Moon Fish Mola mola in our dives.

Some year some animal fare seen more often than others. This year the Moon Fish is the special fish.

Cabrera, Dragonera, Malgrats and El Toro are some of the places we´ve seen them.

We really face severe problems in El Toro. Due to overpopulation of marine life, space for all kinds of fish is getting extremely rare. Most of the damselfish, Green Wrasse, Ornate Wrasse, Corb and Sea Breams have to stay in the open water. Even hundreds of octopuses can´t reach their ancestral holes. The time of “one fish - one hole” are history. Standards of living had to be adjusted. The picture from today shown a very embarrassing example of the situation here…

Diving with sharks at Palma Aquarium

Diving with flat sea and Dolphins

Yesterday Sunday 11^th of April we had one of those special days for divers.

We made a dive in El Toro Island with a very flat sea. Diving with schools of Barracudas, groupers, amber jacks, John Dory and many nudybranchs, with a very clear water and the temperature a litle higher (16ºC).

Summer is close.

But the best came on our way back to the harbour. Between El Toro and Malgrats we saw a group of Dolphins. After swimming around the boat for a while, we decided to tow divers with mask and snorkel. A Dolphin passed under Jose Rivera that was really exited.

¡ Shark diving in Dragonera!

Diving today in Dragonera we saw a Smallspotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canícula).

From the same family as the Tiger Shark but not bigger than 75 centimeters and completly harmless.

Angler Fish in El Toro

Every year we have some Angler Fish encounters during March and April.

This year has not been diferent. Yesterday and today we have been diving with these fish in El Toro Marine Reserve.

Winter Maintenance

Every year, along with the winter, we make important maintenance jobs.

We are making tank, diving gear, compresors, vans, boats., etc.. revisions.

This year we have to highlight the important reform of Conger Conger. Apart from engine revisions and antifouling, we are going to fix correctly the rib tubes and we are going to place a non slippery deck.

Good weather is about to arrive and everything must be ready for excelent diving days.

Dolphins in El Toro

This Sunday November 2nd we had a perfect diving day.

Not only the sea was flat, cristal clear and full of life, but a family of dolphins has been with us as we sailed towards El Toro Marine Reserve.

Reparación del Dique de Santa Ponsa

Debido a los temporales del pasado invierno el dique del Club Nautico de Santa Ponsa sufrió importantes desperfectos quedando muy deteriorado.

A partir del lunes 14 de septiembre empezarán las obras de reparación del dique. No se podrá aparcar en las inmediaciones del centro de buceo para dejar paso a los camiones. Tendremos que aparcar en el parking que hay en la entrada. La furgoneta del centro de buceo hará constantes viajes para recoger a cualquiera que venga a bucear.

Lamentamos las molestias.

Pirates Diving with ZOEA Mallorca

Quite alot of dives we´ve done with him. Slowly he is getting used to divers and he really gets near.

Confidence and Safety have a very high priority in our diving center. And the Filling Station plays a crucial role in that matter. All the more we are proud, that the ZOEA Dive Center in Santa Ponsa did qualify for the „Pure Air Station“ Certificate of the company BAUER Kompressoren in Germany. Each divecenter has to accept strict Quality Guidelines and needs to fulfil special preconditions prior to be certified.

This is a good feeling – you can breath a sigh of relief!

Martin Tomczyk - German Tourenwagen Masters Driver visits ZOEA for diving.

During his vacation on Mallorca Martin and our Guide Guillermin dived the fascinating underwater world of the protected area El Toro. As you see, the team had much fun before, during and after the dive.

The team of ZOEA and Martins new fans keep their fingers crossed for the next race at the end of of June on the Nürburgring.

Jesus Calleja dive with us

Jesus Calleja, from the Spanish TV program “Desafío Extremo”, visit us last 27th to dive and check the dive equipment together with his Team: Maria, Oscar and Tiger. They were diving with the new underwater communication system that they are going to use in their next adventurer in the Arctic.

During his next trip he is not only go to dive under the thick ice of the Northern Atlantic. Together with his team, he will try to film the Narwales Whales when they come to breathe to the surface and the huge Greenland Shark.

We hope they do it. Good Luck from the whole Zoea Team!

Argentinean BBQ

On Saturday 25 of April after diving we made a argentinean babacue in ou dive center.

Congratulations to our cook Xavi the meat was incredible.

We also celebrated Alfonso´s birthday. Happy Birthday.

Argentinian barbacue after the dives

Dates of the day trips to Cabrera National Park

Since two years ago, we have been developing day trips to the National Park of Cabrera. And 2009 will not be an exception. This year we want to offer a better service to all our customers who want to submerge with us in the National Park. For this reason, and to keep improving our servicing goals, we have uploaded all the dates when we are running this day trip to Cabrera National Park in the calendar of our web site.

Every Wednesday and Sunday of July and August, one of ours fast dive boats will head to one of the best and untouched diving areas of Majorca, and probably, of the hole Balearic Islands. Also, to expand our offer of dates, during June and September we will also run day trips to Cabrera. During June, the second and last Sunday of the month we will be diving there; and during September, every Sunday. We hope we have a great summer to be able to dive in one of the best diving places of the Western Mediterranean Sea.

All the dates:

June: Sundays 14th and 28th

July: Wednesdays 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Sundays 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.

August: Wednesdays 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. Sundays 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th.

September: Sundays 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th.

Next Saturday 18th of April, we will start to operate our diving activities from Zoea Santa Ponsa Dive Centre. This change normally takes place the 1st of June. However, this year we are changing to Santa Ponsa earlier due to the harbor building in Port Adriano. All daytrips, diving courses and the rest of activities will be run from Zoea Santa Ponsa Dive Centre. We hope this early change doesn\'t create any inconvenience.

IFOC 2009 Divemaster Course Finished

After almost three months we have finished the IFOC 2009 Divemaster course.

We have had bad weather and lots of cold, tough but we think it has been worth it.

Congratulations to the thirteen candidates!

Now they have to dive and divemasterize.

First Angler Fish of the season

Last 27th of March close to Cala Figuera, diving in Punta Catius dive site, we saw the first Angler Fish (Lophius Piscatorius) of the season. This fish is normally observed during the spring months when the water temperature is in his lowest point and the fish come to feed from deeper waters. The one that we saw was at 20 meters of depth and has a length of 60-65 cm. As is shown in the picture, the Angler Fish trust completely in his camouflage making very easy to swim close to him to observe it.

When the temperature of the water start to rise 2 or 3 degrees, he will dive into deeper waters making the chance of seen him very difficult. We hope to see more of this fantastic fish in the next dives.

The 22 of january started a new training program from the Calvia Council - IFOC. This program has courses from Open Water Diver to Divemaster PADI.

14 candidates most of them unemployed will be training as recreational diving profesionals to take a job in the diving industry of mallorca.

3 months of hard work to become a Divemaster PADI.

Yo podría adoptar un par, una a la bañera y la otra en el bidé que sólo lo uso para quitarme la arena de los pies cuando vuelvo de la playa. Como espero estar en el Toro la semana que viene hablaré con ellos y si les convence mi propuesta pues se vienen conmigo al Cantábrico.

Mi nombre es Josele Bernabé, y he buceado en su centro en dos ocasiones, el Sábado 10 en Magrats y el Domingo 11, siendo los guías en mis inmersiones Marcos y Guille, y el responsable del centro Luis. Pues bien, quería comentarle brevemente, cuan satisfactoria ha sido mi experiencia en su centro. Contacté con ustedes después de mirar en Internet opiniones sobre centros de buceo y el suyo estaba por encima de la media, así que les llame, hablé con la señorita Inés, en dos ocasiones y con alguna de las chicas alemanas también, pude hacer reserva, variarla y finalmente confirmarla sin sentir en ningún momento ningún tipo de actitud negativa ni nada parecido, por teléfono todo fue cordialidad y buenas intenciones. Cuando por fin pude llegar al centro, me fijé en el material, la antigüedad, el uso, etc. Todo estaba más que correcto, las instalaciones limpias, había jabón en las duchas, las indicaciones, claras, y el trato tan profesional como afable. El domingo pude ir (con mucha suerte y gracias a la casualidad) a Cabrera, donde el buceo fue fantástico, y para mi el día redondo. Los centros de buceo no pueden elegir como son los fondos, pero desde luego, si como quieren recibir a sus clientes. Solo puedo darle la enhorabuena por el mantenimiento de las instalaciones y el equipo, y sobre todo, por la calidad humana de su gente, que son todo profesionalidad, amabilidad y sonrisas. Lamentablemente no recuerdo los nombres de todos (Willy, Diego, las chicas...) pero espero poder repetir pronto, una experiencia tan buena. Le envío un par de fotos como muestra de las inmersiones. Luis ya te dije que hoy por hoy es dificil conseguir un buen equipo de trabajo, tú lo has conseguido y te doy mi enhorabuena, todos sin excepción son grandes personas y grandes profesionales, tienes un gran capital humano, valiosisimo!!!. Han sido unos días geniales, aunque no pudimos hacer mucho turismo en la isla no nos importó, hicimos realidad uno de nuestros sueños y tanto Emilio como yo os lo agradecemos de corazón. Hola, hemos estado bucenado mi marido, mi hijo y yo esta semana pasado, el lunes, martes y miércoles, quería agradecer a todo el equipo lo bién que se han portado, en especial a Diego y Guillermo y también a "Willy" que nos venía a buscar al hotel, eskerrik asko Willy. Hallo an ALLE, in der Woche vom 20.6.2010 bis 27.6.2010 habe ich mit meinem Bruder sechs sehr schöne Tauchgänge bei Euch gemacht. Das ZOEA-Team war super und die Fahrten mit den "Schlauchbooten" klasse. Besonders der Tauchspot "El Toro" hat mir gut gefallen. Hoffe, bald mal wieder bei Euch zu sein. Buenos días Maugo, Te escribo sólo para daros las gracias por todo!! Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en vuestra Isla y más especialmente debajo del agua. ;-) Tenéis un equipo de gente muy bueno y todo eso se nota a la hora de hacer las inmersiones. Te ríes en el barco yendo/volviendo de las inmersiones, el buceo está muy bien y con seguridad, solucionan rápido cualquier tipo de problema… todo eso ha hecho que estemos muy contentos que era nuestro propósito… Increíble la forma de trabajar de Inés (increíble también su blog de viajes de mochilera que ya le comentaré a ella por correo…), la profesionalidad de Guille o la simpatía de Diego… (tú no entras en el “pack Divemaster”, jajaja!... de momento). Carlos y Joan a los mandos de las respectivas naves… Para mí ha sido TODO un lujo poder compartir con vosotros estos días y llevarme un buen recuerdo de cada uno. Espero encontrar un hueco para volver a veros este verano (si el trabajo me lo permite) y amenazo con ir con más amigos!! Jejeje!! Eso si, cambiaremos café por Brugal&Cola la próxima vez a ver si tiene más éxito... Un saludo Edu

Hallo Luis und das ganze Team von ZOEA, wir hatten einige wunderbare Tauchtage unter eurer "Obhut" erleben dürfen. Vielen Dank für unkompliziertes Tauchen, lockere und freundschaftliche Atmospäre, ausgefeilte Logistik und nicht zuletzt die Klasse-Tauchplätze. Wir waren schon viel im Mittelmeer unterwegs aber eure Spots erinnerten eher an Ägypten - Fisch und Sicht satt!! Nummer 1 im Mittelmeer! Por fin he encontrado el equipo de buceo que atiende a mis necesidades. Si alguien está interesado, puede ir a Isurus y pedirlo ( con unas 37 horas en la tienda haciendo lista y esperando unos 6 meses, no habrá problemas en tenerlo casi todo) Paa la financiación, Caja Sur parece la opción mejor........

Una vez llegado de mallorca, y , delante de un paisaje tan impresionante como el de la isla del toro, com es el del pirineo.. Solo me queda decir gracias a todo el equipo de "ZOEA" por mostrarme i ensenyarme a ver des de un punto de vista subaquiatico ,este mundo en el que vivimos!!!! En especial a Marta, Carlos y Rodolfo. Dear Luis. I just wanted to wrote and say thank you to everyone at Zoea Mallorca over the last week. It was one of the best times I've had on holiday chiefly due to all the staff at the centre. I really have to say thank you though to Mannfred and Maria. I didn't get the chance to thank them both enough on the last day. They were both absolutely fantastic with me, particularly Maria Maria who managed to teach me everything I needed whilst also explaining it all in Spanish!
